Installation Process

We install many different products and each has their own manufactures' required installation. Remember this is a short over view to how a tankless water heater is installed. The length of time it takes to install a tankless water heater will vary depending on what items have to be changed for installation. Usual installation time is 6-8 hours.

1. Locate where the unit is to be installed, inside or outdoors. These units fair well in all areas of the home. Basically the best place to put a tankless is where the old tank or tanks were located.
2. Remove the existing tanks.
3. Build a frame for the new unit to be located.
4. Cut all the water lines and emergency relief valve for installation under or on the left side of the unit.
5. Connect the water lines and PRV (pressure relieve valve) to the correct line. We use isolator valve kits to connect the water lines to the system.
6. Hookup the gas lines to the appropriate gas inlet using the correct sizing of the gas line under code.
7. Hook the unit up to the electrical plug in.
8. Install the venting for the unit. The correct venting will have to take into consideration the makeup air available, length of run, whether or not you need a condensation tee and where it will be run. And the type of venting you plan on using. See manufactures spec sheets for the correct venting type.
9. Check for leaks on water, gas and ventilation. Remove all debris.
